Bio: Along with many other things, I'm teacher with an interest in young adult literature. Bookweaving is the idea that we integrate everything we read with everything else we have read, seen, heard, or experienced. I think we all...and especially kids...should be encouraged to synthesize what we read rather than focusing on the isolated texts so often found in classrooms. My website, bookweaver.tripod.com, is devoted to ferreting out books and resources that work well together, and this blog is a journal of the books I encounter on a day to day basis that I think are of general interest for those interested in this cause.
